The Buffalo Creek Shock Sox race was the second leg of the $35,000 Texas Two Step, which offered a big money pro purse in East Texas.

“We depend on sponsors to help us put together a great event for the racers in attendance,” said Shand Garcia, Holeshot Magazine and Shock Sox event promoter. “We are very thankful for K&N Filter’s involvement for the 2nd year in a row. K&N filters are the perfect fit for the Buffalo Creek course. The track is a mix of red clay as well as white powder sugar like sand. It’s really great to have a contributing air filter sponsor such as K&N on board. With this race and diverse soil types, racers get to see how important filters are for their bikes and what a great filter the K&N brand is.”

K&N's involvement in motocross and off-road stems back to the roots of the company. "The filters' design comes from needing more surface area in the harsh off-road environment," said John Jump, K&N Powersports Brand Manager."K&N tries to support amateur events like this throughout the season, keeping the brand in front of our core consumers. Motocross is one of the most demanding environments on our products and we need our consumers to see that our products succeed even in the most extreme conditions. These same amateur riders that learn about our products while they are young, will hopefully continue to use the products in every vehicle they own as they travel the racing series as they grow older."
