2016 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Shows Off New K&N Air Intake Systems for Harleys®

The new intake systems for 2001-2015 Harley-Davidson Softails and Dynas and 2008-2016 H-D Touring models feature a black textured finish, large air filter, cast aluminum air tube with integrated velocity stack and breather system.

K&N has been hard at work developing, engineering, and producing the next innovation to hit the motorcycle world, a performance-oriented intake system for various 2001-2016 Harley-Davidson® models. The new kits will boost power and torque by increasing airflow into your V-Twin while also providing exceptional filtration qualities to help protect your investment.

The 63-1137 and 63-1134 kits include everything needed to install the kit in around 90 minutes or less.

Expanding on our ever popular AirCharger motorcycle air intake systems, the new AirCharger intake system is built with a high-velocity, cast aluminum intake tube that directs airflow into a built-in velocity stack with completely integrated breather system. An oversized, oiled cotton, clamp-on air filter feeds air directly into a wide air tube with an integrated velocity stack for enhanced airflow characteristics. The systems also feature a brushed aluminum K&N logo with a contrasting black textured finish. This design will stand the test of time no matter what trends come and go. Both kits also feature completely integrated breather systems, so they are a direct replacement for the stock system on your bike.

Once installed on your bike, both new AirCharger systems look great while also boosting horsepower and torque, increasing airflow, and protecting your V-Twin engine from harmful contaminants.

Because K&N's primary motivation for building these intake systems, is providing you with more horsepower to the rear wheels, K&N provides a guarantee to increase horsepower. On their in-house dyno, K&N saw an estimated 6 horsepower and 6.5 lb-ft of torque gain for the 63-1134 kit on a 2016 H-D Street Glide. The 63-1137 system made an estimated 5 horsepower and 8 lb-ft of torque on a 2016 Harley® Switchback. These power numbers are achieved using technology that K&N pioneered on their car and truck intake systems. Now, using cast aluminum, K&N is able to precisely direct the airflow to limit restrictions and promote smooth, laminar flow and increase airflow velocity.

The K&N 63-1137 is developed to bolt directly onto your 2001-2015 fuel-injected Harley Softail and Dyna, while the 63-1134 fits 2008-2016 Harley Touring models. The installation process is extremely easy and usually takes 90 minutes or less. When it comes time for maintenance, use the K&N 99-5000 air filter ReCharge kit. Complete with K&N PowerKleen cleaning solution to remove the dirt, road grime, and bugs from your filter and K&N filter oil to re-oil it and get you going down the highway.
