The K&N 71-1542 Blackhawk Induction Air Intake System is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air intake system that is guaranteed to gain power. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing on some Dodge Challenger/Charger/Magnum and Chrysler 300/300C models. This low restriction air intake allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than it would from the stock air intake. More air means more power and acceleration. This K&N Blackhawk Induction Air Intake System comes with black components including the K&N high-flow air filter and heat shield. The attractive textured black powder-coated tube features a welded, engraved K&N plate giving you a clean, high-performance look under the hood. The intake tube accommodates the factory inlet air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter is made from an oil-free synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points using commonly available tools. Some K&N Blackhawk Induction Systems are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are 50 state legal. K&N 71-1542 Air Intake Product Reviews

This cold air intake system works well in my 2006 Chrysler 300C. In my case it went right in with no need for modifications. The system definitely makes an audible difference in the engine sound. Throttle response is a much quicker as well.

You should really re-design the lower part of the heat shield so it’s not so difficult to install and you obviously know what I’m talking about since you mention the air conditioner lines in the installation instructions.

I have a 2015 Dodge Challenger RT Plus and this filter does exactly what it's supposed to. There's a noticeable improvement with much steadier acceleration, it really helps maximize what you get out of the engine. Putting it on was a struggle, the heat shield wasn't a great fit and I had to move the AC lines out of the way. Overall it was worth the buy and I would recommend that you pair it with a performance cat-back exhaust.

No noticeable gains, mild sound in 4th. Noticed the air intake temperature was hotter than stock housing.

Instructions a little difficult to follow and not a perfect fit. Had force it into place.

Product itself is great. HOWEVER - the instructions are terrible. Not all of us are goshdang engineers. Please, please work on this issue.
