The K&N 63-9039 Air Intake fits some Toyota Tacoma models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 63-9039 AirCharger air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing on specific Toyota Tacoma models. K&N air intakes are designed to dramatically reduce air intake restriction as well as smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the original air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor, air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install, usually in 90 minutes or less using your vehicle’s existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a couple of screwdrivers, a ratchet set and several wrenches.

K&N 63-9039 Air Intake Product Reviews

Helped tremendously to improve performance. Haven't checked fuel economy yet, but I really don't care. The performance was what I was looking for.

I love the Sound coming from under the hood and you can feel the increase of HP, still haven't look if the gas mileage is better or not yet, but from the gauge, it is a bit better on the gas.

I have been using K&N intake filters since my 1997 Chevy S10. Have always loved them; they work well. Add plenty of HP & a little rumble when you give the trucks a little extra pedal. I have had many pickups, all with K&N intakes in them. 1997 S10, 2002 Dodge Dakota, and 2007, 2012, 2016, & 2018 Tacoma's. Everyone of the intakes have been flawless, until I ordered the last intake for my 2018. Which was another 63-9039. When it arrived I inspected the intake tube (part No. 087311). I found what appeared to be grooved teeth marks from a drill bit of some sort. Along with brass shavings inside the tube. I reached out to K&N and the very nice customer service person shipped out a new tube that day. unfortunately, when that part arrived it was not put together correctly, as there were 1/4 molding drips inside the tube from where the tube had been molded/fused. I ended up sanding down the interior of the original tube to smooth out the roughness of the protruding marks and wiped out the interior with a wet terry cloth to remove the debris. The tube and rest of the system seem to work just fine, however I am a little concerned over the quality control at this time. This may have been just my experience this time, as I have never had an issue before, but did want to make sure this was addressed. To address the original question. The online ordering process was easy, fast, and there were no issues in that area. So for that, K&N does a very good job. Price was better than Amazon, shipping was prompt, and packaging was very good, no product externally damaged. Kind Regards, Jason -
