The K&N 63-3088 Air Intake fits some Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 63-3088 AirCharger air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing on select Chevrolet Colorado models. K&N air intakes are designed to dramatically reduce air intake restriction as well as smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-3088 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the original air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install, usually in 90 minutes or less using your vehicle’s existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, ratchet set and several wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

K&N 63-3088 Air Intake Product Reviews

Thursday, June 28, 2018 - Part 63-3088
After reading several reviews I was a little skeptical about this, however, the dyno test video offered enough encouragement to make the purchase. I am not disappointed Installation was a breeze just as displayed in the video. It is louder than the stock setup, however, I love the way it sounds Also noticed an improvement in performance Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to improve their Colorado pickup It has not reduced gas mileage.

I like that the kit was easy to install and was done in about an hour and half. I would suggest that maybe an enclosed box to damper the noise just a little.

Extremely noisy. Yes, I know increasing airflow is supposed to result in a bit of a growl (which is good), but this cold air intake is super loud. It is loud beyond any relation to an increase in performance. The new intake did increase throttle response a bit, so there is most likely a jump in HP. BUT....I don't think it is worth the ridiculous cabin noise. At certain RPMs, there is almost an echo/resonance that magnifies the already too loud sound. Additionally, the instructions weren't quite correct in a few areas. For example, the instructions give you a tool list which states you need a 27 torx bit (which I didn't have but needed to buy), but it turns out that I didn't need it. (everything was a 25 or 30 torx).
