The K&N 57-7000 Air Intake fits some Porsche 911, and Porsche 911 Carrera models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 57-7000 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Porsche 911 models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Porsche 911’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-7000 air intake comes with a light-weight carbon fiber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed from the fresh air supply duct, past the air filter and through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized cone-shaped air filter is wrapped with a water repellant Drycharger filter wrap that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points and requires commonly available tools. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

K&N 57-7000 Air Intake Product Reviews

Great sound! It was installed on an otherwise stock car, so the butt dyno doesn’t seem to notice much power improvement. I will be dyno tuning and changing the exhaust soon, so that is where I expect the better breathing to really come in handy. Overall very satisfied.

I absolutely love the cold air intake for my 1999 Porsche 911. The installation went smoothly and the product is well designed. The new intake significantly improves the engine compartment appearance and sounds great. New ECU flash and plenum will follow to compliment the improved airflow. I recommend this product to all 911 owners.

The K&N cold air intake system has made a great improvement in horsepower and the sound of the engine. I would recommend the K&N system to anyone looking for additional horsepower and improved engine sound.

K&N is the leader in the market regarding filters. They need to make their manuals for installation equal to their product. The installation manual was written as if in a third language with no true description of installation. I literally had to watch 3 different YouTube videos done by customers to figure this out.

I just installed the 57-7000 on my 2002 Targa. Pretty simple install. Took about 2 hours, only because the parts diagram is pretty small to read. The car seems smoother and sounds great over 5000 RPM. I would say the HP gain is there but I didn't Dyno it before or after.

Installation for this non-mechanic took about 2 hours from opening the box and reviewing the instructions to starting the car and going for a ride. Installed on a 2003 Porsche C4S. Quality of the materials was fine for the job it does. Fit nicely once assembled. Only had to improve on aspect of the heat shield to get the fresh air hose to fit into the deck lid correctly. Add one small hole at the bottom and a small stainless screw into it to help the alignment. Performance wise, I did notice a boost in overall power and throttle response. Seems to have a smoother overall power curve and noticeable improvement over the entire range. Terrific sound about 5K RMP too that is a nice bonus. At normal operating RPMs there is no major changes (which is nice). I would recommend this to anyone looking to improve the performance of their vehicle.

I have purchased many K&N products through the years to include 2 cold air intakes and numberous air filters for my vehicles. I've always been impressed with the product quality and performance. Now, I've had the pleasure of experiencing customer service that has met (if not exceeded) the high expectations that K&N has earned. My most recent purchase was of another cold air intake. During installation I encountered a defective piece of hardware that made completing installation impossible until I received a replacement. It was well after business hours so I sent an email to the support email address which I found on your website. I expected a standard form bot response at best and dreaded the phone calls and emails that it would probably take in order to receive customer service. Was I ever surprised. Promptly the very next morning I received an email from an actual person expressing apologies for the defective part and informing me that replacements would be mailed immediately. And they were. I was able to continue to correspond with Jessica Pederson via direct eimail instead of through the standard @support or similar generic email address that, sadly, we've come to expect from most customer service departments. She was exceptionally helpful and made sure to keep me informed of my resolution, start to finish. While I would hope that such support is standard at K&N, I think that she deserves special recognition in providing what is today very rare customer support. I couldn't be happier with my treatment by K&N and have made the transition from loyal customer to that of true fan. Thank you K&N, and a very big THANK YOU to Jessica. You set a shining standard that I hope catches on.
