The K&N 69-5315TS Air Intake fits some Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai Elantra Coupe, and Hyundai Elantra GT models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 69-5315TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Hyundai Elantra and Elantra Coupe or GT models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-5315TS air intake comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the original air box space and adapts to the fresh air intake scoop. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

K&N 69-5315TS Air Intake Product Reviews

Tuesday, October 24, 2017 - Part 69-5315TS
Improved throttle response in my 2017 Elantra, didn't notice much performance deffinetly adds more sound to engine, mechanic said they had to switch some hoses around to get it to fit so it took them about 2 1/2 hours to install, overall happy with purchase though.

Greatly increased the throttle response, and adds a bit of low end grumble with my resonator deleted. Also a bit better gas mileage, and who needs to spend money replacing filters ever again. Did everything I was expecting.

Absolutely everything I needed was in the box. The instructions were pretty clear, just have to pay close attention to which hose clamps are which. They are close in size, but different and each one is sized for a specific coupler or hose end. The removal of the stock breather box and PCV hose were simple. Installation of the K&N Intake Kit took about 20 minutes with a rachet, standard screwdriver, and an allen wrench. The extras, like the heavy duty heat shield with gasket and the connection to the in-grill air inlet are quality touches. Fired up the car after installation and went for a drive. The K&N Intake Kit really lets the car breathe and gives a nice gutty induction sound. It's like a symphony combined with my aftermarket exhaust. Don't waste your money on cheap copycats, this intake is built tough and definitely worth the money spent.
