The K&N 69-1018TS Air Intake fits some Honda CR-Z models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 69-1018TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Honda CR-Z models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-1018TS air intake comes with a K&N XStream Top air filter designed for higher air flow and durability. A heat shield installs into the previous air box space that directs air through an intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor and a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a couple of screwdrivers, pliers, a ratchet set and some wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

K&N 69-1018TS Air Intake Product Reviews

I have been a fan and user of K&N air filtration kits for many years now. During that time I've installed and used quite a few K&N Air filter products on a variety of vehicles that I've owned. 1992 Saturn SL2 5-speed (57-3012 FIPK), 1998 Ford Taurus 3.0 (Flat panel) 1997 GMC Jimmy Vortec V-6 (57-3017-2 FIPK), 2005 Hyundai Elantra (transplanted kit from the Saturn), 2008 Hyundai Veracruz AWD Limited (33-2389 Flat panel), 1997 Moto Guzzi California 1100i (Flat panel), Cub Cadet Zero Turn Lawn Mower (E-4963) and most recently my 2014 Honda CR-Z EX CVT(69-1018TS Typhoon CAI). On all the applications except the mower, there has been a 1-2 mpg gain and a noticeable sound improvement, especially with the full kits. Power gains have been nominal with the full kits, not really noticeable at all with just the flat panel swaps. All in all I've been pretty satisfied with the fuel savings and money and waste saved by not buying new filters all the time. I typically drive 25000-30000 miles a year. I hope and expect to get the same results on my CR-Z. Install instructions and video could be a little better, but we figured out what they didn't go in depth on. Great product overall. Thanks

Installed this on a 2011 Honda CR-Z for a little more power and sound. It delivered on both. Throttle response is better and the sound is great. It gave it more of a growl. Installation was very straight forward and not complicated.
