The K&N 57-2566 Air Intake fits some Ford Mustang models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 57-2566 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Ford Mustang models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Mustang’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-2566 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized conical air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screw driver, ratchet set and wrench. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

K&N 57-2566 Air Intake Product Reviews

This kit was very easy to install, it took about 1 hour and was ready to go. Instruction were very easy to understand and to comprehend. as there is a different feel to the Mustang, better pick and flow of air, now just to find some open road to let breathe. I will be purchasing a K&N system for my truck as well, not only for the added horse power, but also for the added gas mileage,I had one of your filters on it, and moving up to the complete kit has been a great experience. Service was excellent, and all parts arrived before schedule time Thanks.

I bought this cold air intake for my brother's '05 Mustang as a graduation present from AIT. I have the Typhoon cold air intake on my 2008 Dodge Avenger SXT 2.4L and he liked the difference in sound from before to after. It took about an hour to put on and there is a difference in sound from before and after on the Mustang as well. The only thing I didn't like between the Mustang and the Avenger was that you have to put the one line on the Mustang so if you want to put the original one back on you would have to go buy that line.
