The K&N 57-1548 Air Intake fits some Jeep Commander, and Jeep Grand Cherokee models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 57-1548 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Jeep’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-1548 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, socket set and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

The K&N Air Filter System I bought really makes the car sound much better and more clean. My Jeep Commander 2006 4.7 V8 really loves having the new system. I thought it would improve Fuel Economy by replacing stock, that is not the case. Still rolling 10mpg in city but....still a good product and really easy to install. The directions included need to be updated, had to look up a lot of stuff that I got lost on because the directions are for a Cherokee, similar engine layouts but a tad bit different in filter areas. Shipping was nice, $15 for overnight, Pretty fair pricing. Wish it had a check list to make sure of. Also add more written descriptions of the steps. Some pictures do implied steps that aren't as obvious as one would think.

Just installed the CAI on the 2006 Grand Cherokee 4.7. First test run on the open road and the beast has been unleashed! Hey, it's no Hemi, but damn, I could really feel the difference. Let's see what the (Brand Name) tuner can do next...
