Video - Sadistic Iron Werks did what was said couldn’t be done - a full drop on a 2017 Audi R8, which they displayed with K&N filters at the 2017 SEMA Show

Bobby Martins from Sadistic Iron Werks explains what went into creating a fully dropped 2017 Audi R8. His beautiful creation was on display at the 2017 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Even among the hundreds of amazing builds at the show, it still managed to stand out among the rest!

I’m Bobby Martins with Sadistic Iron Works. This is a 2017 R8. The car was bought, I believe, 2 months prior. And we figured we’d get it out and ready for SEMA. This was unveil. We finished it on Monday. Everybody else can’t get this car very low and we decided to prove everybody wrong by getting it on the ground. We Used an airlift strut setup, and we modified everything. We CNC made all our own parts to actually get the suspension to get its full range of 7 inches of up travel and 7 inches of down travel. With our valving that we did, the fluid change, and our nitrogen setup on it, the car actually drives pretty much stock if not a tad softer than stock. We chose K&N filters basically because they’re the best in the business. It’s a couple of the tube filters; a 4-inch inlet with 6-inch filter. Basically, filtering everything down to the smallest micron they can with this amount of power, you need the best filter possible.
