K&N power testing of the 77-3090KTK intake system showed an estimated power gain of 7.6 horsepower and 9.5 pound feet of torque.

This intake comes with detailed installation instructions and all necessary hardware.

Start by turning off the ignition and disconnecting the negative battery cable.

Lift up and remove the engine cover from the engine.

Disconnect the mass air sensor and humidity sensor electrical connections.

Disconnect the crank case vent hose from the intake tube plenum.

Loosen the hose clamps that secure the intake tube to the throttle body and air filter housing. Unhook the radiator hose clip from the intake tube and then remove the intake tube from the vehicle.

Lift up the air box to dislodge it from the mounting grommets, and then remove it from the vehicle.

Release the locking ring and then disconnect the crank case vent tube from the valve cover vent port.

Remove the four bolts that secure the air filter mounting tray to the inner fender and then remove the tray.

Install the provided filter adapter into the heat shield and secure it with the provided hardware.

Install the provided edge trim onto the heat shield.

Install the heat shield assembly onto the air filter housing mounting plate location and secure it with three of the factory bolts removed previously

Remove the screws securing the mass air sensor into the air filter housing and then remove the sensor.

Install the mass air sensor into the K&N intake tube and secure with the provided hardware.

Install the provided vent fitting into the K&N intake tube.

Install the provided coupling hose onto the filter adapter and secure it with the provided hose clamp.

Install the provided coupler hose onto the throttle body but do not completely tighten at this time.

Install the K&N intake tube into the coupling hoses and then adjust the tube for best fit. Secure the hoses and tube with the provided hose clamps.

Install the provided crank case vent hose onto the fitting installed into the K&N intake tube and then onto the valve cover port. Secure the hose to the valve cover port with the provided hose clamp.

Install the K&N air filter and secure it with the provided hose clamp.

Reconnect the mass air sensor sensor electrical connections.

Reinstall the factory engine cover and reconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable.

Double check to make sure everything is tight and properly positioned before starting the vehicle and check periodically for realignment, clearance, and tightening of all connections. Failure to follow the installation instructions or proper maintenance may void your warranty.
