Watch how quick and easy it is to install the K&N 63-3104 air intake system for the 2017-2018 Chevrolet Colorado with a 3.6 liter engine. This intake system includes an aerodynamic roto-molded intake tube, oversized washable cotton High-Flow Air Filter™, and a custom heat shield to help isolate the intake air from engine heat. Increasing airflow will help improve acceleration, horsepower, and engine sound. Add an estimated 7.8 hp at 6,547 RPM and 10.0 lb-ft of additional torque at 2,651 RPM to your 2017-2018 Chevrolet Colorado 3.6L with K&N air intake 63-3104.

1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable

2. Loosen the hose clamp that secures the intake hose to the air filter housing.

Using a screwdriver, unlock the small clamp that secures the vent line to the connector and then disconnect the vent line

Remove the bolt securing the intake plenum to the engine

3. Remove the oil fill cap

and loosen the hose clamp securing the intake hose to the throttle body

Remove the bolt securing the intake plenum to the engine

4. Remove the front center bolt securing the intake plenum to the engine

5. Release the red locking tab and then disconnect the mass air sensor electrical connection

and unhook the harness from the air filter housing

6. Remove the two nuts securing the air filter housing to the inner fender

and then remove the housing from the vehicle

Install the filter adapter into the K&N® heat shield and secure with the provided hardware

8. Install the edge trim onto the heat shield as shown

9. Install the provided heat shield mounting bracket (07805) onto the heat shield using the provided hardware and spacer

10. Install the provided heat shield mounting bracket (070015) onto the heat shield using the provided hardware and spacer

11. Remove the nut that secures the coolant reservoir to the inner fender

12. Install the heat shield assembly into the vehicle

and secure with the factory coolant reservoir nut

and install the sensor and provided gasket into the K&N® mass air sensor adapter using the provided hardware

18. Install the provided hump coupler (08699) onto the K&N® filter adapter

Slide the hump coupler onto the filter adapter, adjust the tube for best fit and secure with the provided hose clamps

19. Rotate the crank case vent line and fitting so it aligns with the quick connect fitting and then connect

Reconnect the mass air sensor electrical connection
