The K&N 69-4535TP Air Intake fits some Chevrolet Camaro models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 69-4535TP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Chevrolet Camaro models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-4535TP air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The air intake tube has an attractive chrome-like finish that's made to last and accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, ratchet set and a couple of Allen wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

Easy install, no check engine lights if you install correctly. The directions are adequate but leave out some steps so you have to use the first page diagram in conjunction with the picture directions. First ever cold air intake and it only took me 45 minutes to install. Performance wise I didn't dyno but I have this paired with a ported throttle body and the power and acceleration increase is extremely noticeable. The only negative that others may not see as a negative is the sound tube delete. I would have like the option to keep the sound tube rather than capping it off. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and I was surprised that the performance increase was real and noticeable as I was a cold air intake skeptic. The whine sound is pretty cool as well when this monster sucks in air at 3k rpm. Looks? It's not super pretty compared to other options but this is the cheapest intake and is built very well and I personally like the open box design.
