The K&N 69-2544TP Air Intake fits some Chrysler 300, Chrysler 300C, Dodge Challenger, and Dodge Charger models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 69-2544TP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-2544TP air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive chrome-like finish that's made to last and accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, ratchet set and some wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

I do like the responsiveness from the intake and the sound at higher Tom's. And I do have these cools air intakes from K&N on all my vehicles (even my daughters). They are easy to install even for a beginner. The only reason not 5 star for this 1 on my 2016 challenger is (and the instruction do say it's fragile) the air intake sensor hole is so tight I snapped off 2 of them trying to install them at $30 a pop. Then on the red one I finally got a small rubber maker and greased the O-ring with a little oil, and 1 small tap and it popped right in. But when turning the sensor to lock in place it twisted the sensor. I just left it in like this and so far no problem.

Well, the product does work as advertised and I can hear and feel a difference with the vehicle. However...from the picture on the website, the tube appears to be a brushed aluminum finish but the tube is actually a chrome finish, which I do not like. I truly thought it was going to have a brushed aluminum finish. And the instructions were not so great either. The pictures are very dark and we’re not taken from the best angles, so it is very difficult to tell which washers and parts you are supposed to use in some of the steps. I would suggest that they use sketches instead of photos, or they really need better pictures. Overall I like the product. It just doesn’t have the appearance that I was looking for and the assembly and installation was not as easy as I had hope for. Given the size of the box that it came in, much of it could have been factory assembled, but it wasn’t.

I an really pleased with the K&N cold air intake that I purchase December, 2017. It arrived quickly without problems. All the parts were included. Install was extremely easy, and once on, I was extremely happy with the performance of my 2014 Dodge Challenger 3.6L. The sound of the engine is deeper and richer (inside the passenger compartment and outside the vehicle). Lots of low end torque and better pick up. I am very happy with the purchase and plan to purchase on for my 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, soon.
