The K&N 69-2526TP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-2526TP air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive chrome-like finish that's made to last and accommodates the factory mass air sensor, air temperature sensor and a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, ratchet set and a couple of wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

K&N 69-2526TP Air Intake Product Reviews

Immediately heard the difference in sound, from both inside and outside the vehicle. Haven't performed a Dyno, but my foot suddenly has more power.

I love K&N filters and have them on every car I have owned and own now. I installed this on a 2015 Dodge Charger RT. It is the recommended one for my car. The GOOD: I love the look, the sound and the red filter matches my car color. The polished tube looks really good. The BAD: It took me longer than 2 hours to install and I am pretty savvy (not a mechanic but know my way around.) The directions were for an older model charger and several things were different and the directions images weren't that great. Lastly the online video shows a 2009 car. I finally got it done and am happy with it today, but last night when I was doing the install I was not very happy. I'll be surprised if they post this review.

This product was an easy installation on 2015 Dodge Challenger RT. It took around 30-45 minutes to install. I can feel the difference between the CAI and the stock intake. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Just what we wanted and we received it quick and was easy to install. Instructions very easy to follow. Love the sound and the more horsepower we got by installing it.

Awesome product. Very easy to install and very noticable power gains, especially at low and mid throttle. Definite sound increase as well with aftermarket exhaust. Can't wait to see ET reduction this year at the drag strip. Only downside is the filter is a VERY tight fit on my 15 Challenger. Kept the factory air box for the (Brand Name) air intake but other than that, awesome product.

Directions were a little iffy. but installed this in my driveway in about 1 hour with tools instructions said I needed. The only problems were that the pcv hose was tight, and hose clamps from intake tube to air filter. I had to loosen them almost all the way up to get them on. Overall, the first thing I noticed was the sound, then the performance. I will buy a clean air intake again.

When I got my Typhoon intake system and installed it on my 2013 Dodge Charger, I was amazed how much horsepower I got, how much torque I got, and how loud it got! All in all, I'm extremely happy and I definitely recommend K&N. Always have been a fan of K&N, always will.
