The K&N 63-9037 Air Intake fits some Toyota Tacoma models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N AirCharger 63-9037 air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Toyota Tacoma models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Tacoma’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-9037 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that mounts onto the inner fender. This allows cooler, denser air to be directed through a custom molded intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install using commonly available tools. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

K&N 63-9037 Air Intake Product Reviews

Things I like: 1. Engine sound 2. Better mileage 3. Increased power Things I don't (didn't like): 1. Length of vacuum hose provided was supposed to be 18 long and was 12 long (see attachment). Since 12 wasn't long enough, I had to make a trip to the local auto parts store to buy the required length of hose (not easy when your own vehicle's intake is not fully assembled. Insert choice of curse word here &^$). 2. Instructions and video on website could be do a better job describing assembly. For instance: a. The orientation of the mass flow sensor is critical and can be installed 180 degrees off. The instructions/video should include details on correct orientation and/or the sensor should be designed to only be assembled in one orientation. b. My secondary air pump motor looks nothing like what is shown in the instructions/video. It has a shroud that must be removed. c. Installation of the bracket that utilizes a pre-existing hole in the inner fender is not clearly illustrated and impossible to do without some help from another person. d. Illustration/instructions on installing the vent fittings into the intake tube are not clear and it is possible that the fittings could be installed in the wrong ports. P.S. I am a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) who also once had a NASCAR Mechanic's License, so while the above issues were not major for me, they might be others.

Totally loving this upgrade in my truck. Instructions for installation weren't that bad. Took a little longer than 90min but still was able to get it done.

I purchased this intake for 2013 tacoma, only draw back are printed install directions. However, works great, sounds great. Louder than stock but very tolerable. I did not test yet it feels a little more peppy, over all I recommend this product. Go for it.

The directions were vague in telling you which bolts to use. It just says use the provided hardware. YouTube videos helped a lot with this install. It takes about an hour and you need someone else for about one minute to hold a bolt from underneath. I really like the sound my engine makes now and I did get at least one mpg improvement on the highway.

This the best upgrade you can do for the price. It is a very good investment it increased the horsepower and my mpg. with the stock air intake I use to get around 22mpg and now I get around 26-28 mpg.

Sounds great on my Tacoma. More power and a little bit better mileage. The instructions were not even close to accurate. Need better descriptions and photos. All around it is a great product.
