The K&N 63-2588 Air Intake fits some Ford Fusion models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 63-2588 AirCharger air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Ford Fusion models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-2588 air intake comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the original air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and several wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

K&N 63-2588 Air Intake Product Reviews

I recently installed the K&N intake and it not only gave my fusion a better sound, but I’m also getting better gas mileage as well. The install was simple and took me about 45mins (this was my first intake I’ve ever installed). Definitely recommend.

I finally decided to get a K&N filter for my 2014 Fusion SE 1.5 Ecoboost and I have to say, I don’t regret buying it at all. I have nothing but good things to say about it. At first I didn’t notice much difference, until the computer adjusted to the extra bit of airflow. I can hear the turbo along with the blowoff valve. The install took all of 15 minutes with basic hand tools. If you are thinking of getting a K&N, I highly suggest doing it. I regret sitting there for a couple months debating, then decided just to do it and love it.

Excellent product, can hear the turbo now and makes a noticeable improvement on takeoff power and turbo spool up time.
