The K&N 57-3067 FIPK air intake system replaces your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-3067 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a lidded heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed past the mass air sensor and through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, socket set and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states.

I bought 57-3067 for 2008 Silverado. Good sound and seems to help some power. I am pleased with intake system. Instructions are very easy to read and it was very easy to install.

This is my second experience installing a K&N intake on a 6.0 Chevy pickup. The first being on a 2001 model, this one on a 2008. Overall these are really nice systems. They give your ride a throaty sound when under load and they also give a slight bit of extra horse power and add torque. The gen 2 which I just installed (the 2008) had a few improvements in design over the gen 1 I installed on the 2001. These include a more direct path to the throttle body, and a fully enclosed filter housing (the air being drawn into the engine is cooler because it's not being drawn from directly under the hood). Cooler air means denser oxygen levels and in turn more engine power. Only complaint on this kit was following the instructions on which hose clamp fit which hose. They don't give you a whole lot of room to fit the clamps on over the hoses, and they were not clear about what size clamp to use in each clamp location. Other than that, couldn't be happier with this system.
