I've been using K&N filters for many years on all my vehicles. They are superior to most on the market in my estimation.

K-N Filters are easy to work with. Harley 103 doesn't have the best setup and it's kind of a mess to get the old filter off and a new one on. Having the nut on the end of the filter really helps with removal. The nut also acts as a heatsink for cooling the oil. I've checked the temperature of the nut VS filter body and the nut is definitely hot and acting as a heatsink.
