In the earlier heats, Crump was having technical issues but managed to pick up four points from his first three rides. After three rounds he is 6th in the World Championship Standings. Crump said he never has to worry about K&N Engineering products. “I use K&N Filters on my motorcycle,” he said. “The performance is great and the dirt stays out of my engines.”

The Swedish Grand Prix was eventually won by Leigh Adams.

The 31-year-old Australian has returned to his UK base where his medical team will determine the full extent of his injuries.

The next round of the World Championship will be in two weeks at Copenhagen in Denmark.
