“In the first practice the car was a little loose, but we were still quick,” said Swanson. “We made a few minor adjustments to the car to help tighten it up. I was the eighth fastest car by the end of the second practice session.”

In the main, Swanson started out in twelfth place out of a field of 29 cars. “I moved up two spots almost immediately,” he said. “Laps 15 through 30 were very exciting. The top eight cars began to pull away from the rest of the field. The race was filled with close calls and bumping. We were all trying to get one more spot before the end of the race. I ended the race in a hard fought 7th place.“ Swanson also achieved the second fastest lap time on lap two.

The 16-year-old rode his first dirt bike at 3-years-old and began racing in competitions at 10. He is highly motivated and races at some of the most challenging tracks in the southwestern United States.

“This will be my 2nd year with K&N Engineering as a sponsor,” said Swanson. “The RC-3510 K&N Air Filter protects the high revving engine and allow it to breathe. We also make awesome horsepower.”

Swanson’s next race will be at Irwindale Speedway on June 2nd for the 5th race in the Legends Cars Series.
