Winning the 2006 Turkey Night at Irwindale was a dream come true for 20-year old Billy Wease. The Penske Racing development driver from Indiana has been racing for 14 years, but has never competed for a full-season title.

“Competing for a championship is the necessary next step in my development as a driver,” said Wease. “I’m ready for the increased competition and couldn’t be happier to represent K&N, Penske Racing and Western Speed Racing.”

“Billy has a lot of potential and we want to give him the opportunity to compete for a championship.” said Tim Cindric, President of Penske Performance.

As presenting sponsor of the 2007 USAC Silver Crown Series, K&N is committed to the development of grass roots racing in the United States.

“K&N’s efforts to promote the USAC Silver Crown Series are designed to enhance the series’ position as the ultimate proving ground for rising stars in American Motorsports,” said Maier. “Adding cars to the Silver Crown Field is part of K&N’s goal to further develop the USAC Silver Crown Series in 2007 and beyond.”
