Donny Schatz and his ParkerStore Team had the crowd on its feet Saturday night at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot, ND. The World of Outlaws (WoO) star had given the packed house the show they all hoped for as he raced from 14th starting position into the lead during the 40-lap feature event at Nodak Speedway.

After a tremendous battle with leaders Craig Dollansky and Terry McCarl, Schatz took command of the race on lap 22, but on lap 29 Schatz slowed coming out of turn four with a flat right rear tire. “We must have cut the tire, because there was still some tread on it,” said Schatz. “There wasn’t much, so it would have become a game of conserving tires at the end. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it that far.”

The crowd watched Schatz return to the track and charge back to a seventh place finish. It was not what he was hoping for after three consecutive wins, but a very successful debut run in his home town.

“We’re always disappointed when we don’t win, but I couldn’t be happier about being part of the first ever World of Outlaws race in Minot,” said Schatz, the current WoO points leader. “We didn’t qualify where we wanted to, but I knew the guys would have a good car under me and we could run to the front.”

Schatz and the ParkerStore Team use K&N Engineering products. “The K&N Airbox works flawlessly,” he said. “We are able to attain maximum horsepower. K&N builds a superior product.”
