Respond to and develop solutions for technical phone call and e-mail communications
Quick and efficient response to all customer inquiries and orders via phone, email, fax and live chat
Resolve problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems
Timely and accurate data entry, including but not limited to orders, return requests and credit requests
Responsible for conducting sales program and account related tasks including, but not limited to providing product and marketing support to customer accounts, consumers, and dealers including answering inbound phone calls, entering orders, processing returns, providing training, and educating customers on products.
Travel is required to conduct dealer visits, provide product training, and attend events/races to answer product questions.
Travel assignments are expected to average of 10-15 weeks per year
Travel may include international travel to Canada or Mexico.
Conduct outbound dealer phone calls to perspective new dealers, conduct phone product training, and articulate sales programs and other information to customers.
Manage dealer visit planning by region, create and prioritize call and visit lists, and direct the field support activities of K&N staff and contractors.
Conduct necessary follow-up from dealer visits and other activities, write event or trip reports, document account and customer interaction using business application software, and review information from other staff.
Experience, Skills, & Education
Call Center experience preferred
1+ years in a customer service-based role
Solid knowledge of basic automotive principles, maintenance, and related areas
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in phone, face-to face interactions, e-mail, letters, reports, and other writings
Strong computer skills including experience with spreadsheets and business software
Detail oriented, organized, enthusiastic, and demonstrate good business judgment.
Additional Qualities Necessary
An extensive understanding of K&N products, K&N brands, and manufacturing
Passport for Domestic and International travel is required
Consistently demonstrate a professional and positive image
Ability to retain technical information and communicate it to customers
Ability to solve complex problems and occasionally deal with stressful situations
Consistently demonstrate a positive company image and behave professionally
Must be able to simultaneously handle multiple duties, manage time, and follow through on all tasks and projects with little or no supervision.
Reliable attendance, flexibility on work schedule, and availability to work as needed
Ability to obtain a credit card for travel
Ability to obtain an unrestricted driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
