When reading the reviews as applicable to late model Mustangs, many said they observed a noticeable increase in horsepower. Additionally, a slight increase in MPG was noted. I installed this filter on my new 2014 Mustang 3.7L V6. I notice smoother acceleration, but a slight decrease in MPG. I was averaging 15.5-16.5 MPG in the city. Now, I am averaging 14.2-15.5 MPG. I don't think the acceleration improvement has lead to a heavier foot, so the airflow may have decreased. Or, as I might expect, the mass airflow sensor has not adjusted to the change in filter media.

I have used K&N filters for the last 20 years. 1) 1992 318 Dodge Dakota pickup truck 2) 1999 Plymouth Prowler and the 3rd a 2014 Ford Mustang convertible. Great filter.

I used a K&N filter on my '93 Bronco (5.8l v8) and on my '03 Tahoe (4.3l v8) and it made no difference, but it's not expected to deliver the same results on every engine. However, as soon as I slapped one in my '14 Mustang (3.7l v6) the results were nothing short of dramatic. Now, what do I mean by dramatic? Relative to no difference, the effect was dramatic. Can I tell you how much more HP I now have? No. Can I quantify the improvement? No. What I can tell you is that it is very clear that the engine is able to breathe much easier now throughout the power band and especially at higher rpmsmore instant response with absolutely no hesitation above 3.5k rpm in any gear. I noticeably have more power! (except in 1st gear. I'm not faster off the line until ~4k rpm.) When the engine demands air, the K&N filter truly delivers. It is clearly obvious that the stock paper filter was significantly restricting the air flow. If you have a 3.7l v6 Mustang (or probably any v6 Mustang since 2012) you have to get this K&N air filter. The improvement is dramatic for only a $55 change! Further, if you have this Mustang, especially a 3.7l v6, I recommend you get the K&N Air Intake instead if it is legal in your state. Unfortunately it is not in mine, but I have run without using any air filter (for kicks to see how much improvement it would make) and the results were even more ridiculous.
