I have not had a chance to use this product yet and probably will not until this summer. However I am giving it 4 stars based on looks alone. I have seen the OEM filter for the Indian Scout and it looks very cheap This looks like a much more substantial/quality filter that will do the job much better and last a long time. I expect it will pay for itself in longevity.

This filter was a straight swap out and only took me about 30 minutes to replace on my 2015 Indian Scout. On this bike, you must remove the seat, then the fuel tank to get to the air filter. If you haven't done this, don't let it scare you. There is an excellent youtube video on replacing your existing stock air filter with this K&N, just search for it.
After replacing my stock filter, my bike seems to have a lot more pickup, and she has a lot more bass in her voice. I'm very happy with it.
