The K&N 69-7000TR Air Intake fits some Nissan Sentra models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 69-7000TR Typhoon cold-air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Nissan Sentra models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon cold-air intake which is designed to pull in outside air and dramatically reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-7000TR cold-air intake consists of a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter that mounts near the driver side wheel well directing outside air through free-flowing aluminum tubing into a short ram induction tube that delivers high volumes of clean air into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized cone shaped air filter comes with a water repellent DryCharger filter wrap to protect the filter from moisture. The air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This cold air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

K&N 69-7000TR Air Intake Product Reviews

Monday, May 25, 2015 - Part 69-7000TR
I heard a lot of controversy regarding cold air intakes so decided to try one out for myself. I wasn't expecting much out of it, but I thought I'd give it a go. I chose K&N simply because they're a very reputable brand. The intake was delivered within the same week and I installed it the same day. The instructions were very easy to follow and it all fits in my 2004 Nissan Sentra SE R Spec v very well. It's a bit snug in some places but I consider that a good thing. It takes up way less space than the factory air box which is always a plus as well. After tweaking a few hose clamps and getting everything nice and secured I took it on a little test drive. Much to my surprise and satisfaction my Sentra is noticeably more responsive and sounds absolutely fantastic. I should note that besides the new intake it's completely stock. After about 4 days and 200 miles of driving around with it on I'm absolutely in love. The red looks fantastic in the engine bay (especially if you pull that engine cover off and show off those valve covers)and my fuel economy even went up Before installing the intake I was averaging 23.5 mpg. Now I'm averaging 25.2 mpg. That I wasn't expecting at all, but hey if it's gonna pay for itself it can go right ahead. My only advice is to not skip the last few steps, which is listening for air leaks while at rest and under load, one of my connections did come loose after a few hours of driving because I was in too much of a hurry to be tedious with it. However, I did reconnect it and snug it back down more carefully this time and it's been fine ever since. If you're considering buying this for your SE R I highly highly recommend it.
