The K&N 63-9037 Air Intake fits some Toyota Tacoma models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N AirCharger 63-9037 air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Toyota Tacoma models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Tacoma’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-9037 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that mounts onto the inner fender. This allows cooler, denser air to be directed through a custom molded intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install using commonly available tools. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

K&N 63-9037 Air Intake Product Reviews

Overall great. Not to bad to install one of the hose connectors broke and we had to fabritcate a new one. Also the pictures showed us installing the MAS facing the wrong way. Took us a LONG time to figure out we needed to 180 it. I'm not a mechanic by any means but my buddy works for Toyota and it confused him too. I just ordered the secondary filter replacement too, which, oddly enough, ISN'T found on your website. It also doesnt seem to come in black so I'm stuck with chrome(ick) The performance results are great. truck sounds great and jumps when you hit the throttle.

Things I like: 1. Engine sound 2. Better mileage 3. Increased power Things I don't (didn't like): 1. Length of vacuum hose provided was supposed to be 18 long and was 12 long (see attachment). Since 12 wasn't long enough, I had to make a trip to the local auto parts store to buy the required length of hose (not easy when your own vehicle's intake is not fully assembled. Insert choice of curse word here &^$). 2. Instructions and video on website could be do a better job describing assembly. For instance: a. The orientation of the mass flow sensor is critical and can be installed 180 degrees off. The instructions/video should include details on correct orientation and/or the sensor should be designed to only be assembled in one orientation. b. My secondary air pump motor looks nothing like what is shown in the instructions/video. It has a shroud that must be removed. c. Installation of the bracket that utilizes a pre-existing hole in the inner fender is not clearly illustrated and impossible to do without some help from another person. d. Illustration/instructions on installing the vent fittings into the intake tube are not clear and it is possible that the fittings could be installed in the wrong ports. P.S. I am a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) who also once had a NASCAR Mechanic's License, so while the above issues were not major for me, they might be others.

Totally loving this upgrade in my truck. Instructions for installation weren't that bad. Took a little longer than 90min but still was able to get it done.
