The K&N AirCharger 63-9031-1 air intake system replaces your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your vehicle’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-9031-1 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that mounts onto the inner fender. This allows cooler, denser air to be directed through a custom molded intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install requiring only a screwdriver, socket set and several wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

K&N 63-9031-1 Air Intake Product Reviews

Thursday, August 23, 2018 - Part 63-9031-1
I’m not seeing any better gas mileage as a matter of fact about 1 mpg less but I do like the way it sounds now & there may be a little more power so 2 outa 3 is not to bad.

This product is amazing. It did everything they say it will. Lots of power right away and if I could stop loving the sound it makes which won't happen the gas increase is impressive. I recommend this product for anyone with any vehicle.

I installed this myself and was super impressed with the engineering of everything for my vehicle. I was sure I was going to have a bunch of misaligned holes and other annoyances that would drive me crazy but everything aligned and threaded perfectly. I'm a do-it-yourselfer but haven't ventured under the hood much. This was fun and I'm super pleased with how it fits and sounds. I can't keep my foot off the accelerator! That said, to help any future home-mechanics, I think you need to update your installation instructions. Based on my experience (and the installation instruction photos), two primary mounting brackets (Y and P) are shown backwards in the parts schematic versus how the pictures show them in steps 11 and 12a. This caused me some grief as I didn't want to install anything backwards. I went with the pictures and that was ultimately the correct choice. Overall, couldn't be happier. Great product
