The K&N 63-3516 Air Intake fits some Honda Civic models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 63-3516 AirCharger air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing on specific Honda Civic models with inline 4 1.5 l engines. K&N air intakes are designed to dramatically reduce air intake restriction as well as smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The air intake comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the original air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s turbo inlet for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install, usually in 90 minutes or less using your vehicle’s existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and several wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

K&N 63-3516 Air Intake Product Reviews

Tuesday, November 28, 2017 - Part 63-3516
The K&N unit went in very easily, but potential buyers need to know how to remove the old unit. The stock air cleaner assembly consists of two pieces, interconnected via an o-ringed tube. Both the top and bottom halves are held in place by rubber insulated brackets. The top part is easy to remove once the bolts are loosened. However, the bottom part cannot be removed easily as it requires removing the front bumper facia As a result, you either leave it in place, or cut it up to remove it. If you opt to leave it, it will rattle around unless you secure it with a tie wrap or two. The estimated 9 horse power increase is no joke. In fact, on a 2017 CVT-equipped Civic, with a stock-rated 174 HP, will actually put that amount down to the wheels. With just the intake system installed, the dyno-measured increase in wheel HP, is slightly over 9 HP, surpassing K&N's dyne tests. Adding a MagnaFlow 19312 Performance Exhaust System, added another 12 HP To the wheels mind you. The 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times now equal the Si coupe's. The only drawback is, the increase in power causes the traction assist to reduce engine power if left on.

Got the kit days after ordering and had it installed info about 45 minutes. Haven't dyno tested it, but I can feel a bit more pep. Was getting 35mpg prior to install, now I'm getting 39.9. Definitely worth getting.

Installation was quite easy. Love the extra sound that comes from the engine (nice turbo spool). There is a decent amount of power and torque, but here in FL as humid as it has been, I think it'll be more noticeable when it cools off and the air is holding a bit more oxygen. Looks great under the hood too!
