The K&N AirCharger 63-3094 air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in select Chevrolet Camaro models. K&N air intakes are designed to dramatically reduce air intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Camaro’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-3094 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the same area as the previously removed air box, keeping the air filter away from the hot air in the engine. This allows cooler, denser air to be directed through a custom molded air intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install requiring only a screwdriver, socket set and some wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

Not sure if it made the car any faster, but the sound is so much better I was a bit concerned disconnecting the sound tube, but I needn't have worried, because the Camaro sounds much, much better. Love it!

The air intake was very easy to install. I can notice the difference in my throttle response. It also makes the engine sound more aggressive. I am getting it dyno tuned some time next month to see what type of gain it gave me.

I just recently installed my intake kit and I immediately noticed an improvement in throttle response. The install was quick and easy. HOWEVER, either I did not install it correctly or the car did not take to the intake at all because I quickly ran into problems. My infotainment display and my AC readout screens would not come on. While I still had sound and the AC still worked nothing would show up on the respective screens. After this happened I took the entire kit off and put the stock one back on, then ran the car, then took it back off and put the new intake back on. Then I took the MAF sensor off and rotated it to make sure that the sensor was in correctly and that seemed to do the trick. If this happens to you I recommend that you check the orientation of the MAF sensor or make sure that every connection on the intake is sealed. I'm not sure which of these fixed the issue but I am sure that one of these was the problem.
