The K&N 63-1563 Air Intake fits some Dodge Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N AirCharger 63-1563 air intake system replaces your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your vehicle’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-1563 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that directs cooler air into the custom molded intake for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install requiring only pliers, a socket set and several wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

VERY satisfied with this Performance Intake System. It was installed on a 2017 Dodge Durango R/T. Now the R/T already has a nice stock exhaust rumble in the back but with this system installed, you get an awesome throaty sound from the front as well. The sound comparison portion of the installation video doesn't capture that great sound well enough most likely due to the type of microphone that was used during recording. Let me tell you, it is 20 times more awesome in person. My friend described it as menacing and that's a good description so I'll take it as a compliment. At idle or light to cruising speeds you don't notice much difference. However, when you thump the go pedal the truck roars like a pissed off Lion. Quicker throttle response, quicker acceleration is noticeably improved. As for the MPG savings, I honestly can't confirm that because my right foot misbehaves quite a bit. Installation was pretty simple. I finished everything under an hour. I had a bit of trouble releasing the locking tab of the inlet air temperature sensor on the OEM intake tube. Wasn't as easy to release as shown in the video. I needed a thin blade slotted screwdriver to get under the tab to release. My fingernails were not doing the job. Unless perhaps I was doing it incorrectly. Getting the grommets in place required a bit of work and so was installing the air temp sensor in the grommet of the K&N intake tube. Someone else suggested dabbing a little dish soap. I opted for some plain water instead. And disconnecting the negative battery cable was difficult because the battery is located under the front passenger seat. In the video, the installer is actually disconnecting the Positive battery jumpstart connector that is located under the hood on the passenger side fender area so that's what I did. Don't know who is incorrect there. Me or the K&N directions for this type of vehicle. If you're not a professional, I suggest you have your tools ready, check your parts (I was missing the Allen Wrench but I had a set of my own) and watch the video a few times till you are comfortable enough to go and tackle the install. Good luck and most of all, have fun responsibly.

Great product and is the third K&N intake I have put on my personal vehicles. Has a great sound that comes from under the hood. The increase power can be felt throughout the rpm range. Install for me was 15-20 minutes.

This is my second K&N system. The first was on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This system I installed on my 2018 Dodge Durango R/T. Installation was simple and the instructions were very easy to follow. One suggestion for you would be putting dish soap on the outside of the inlet air temperature sensor as that made installing it in the tube much easier. It kept popping out before I did that and the soap ensured that I wouldn't put to much pressure on the sensor trying to get it installed properly. The Durango only has 300 miles on it so it will be a while before I get to enjoy the benefits of improved power and fuel economy, both of which I had with the K&N on the 2011 Jeep.

First of all, WOT performance is significantly improved, the 5.7l in our Grand Cherokee must be starved for air from the factory because there is a noticeable seat of the pants improvement. The engine now growls from under the hood and you know you're driving a v8, it's a different car. Perhaps even more significant than WOT driving is the 'rev hang' of normal driving is gone and shifting seems to be improved. The motor doesn't rev as high and shifts quicker while you accelerate, there is no hang at 2500 - 3000 rpm's between shifts. The only negative comment I have is the rubber grommet is not the best fitment for the temperature sensor, it's a bit of a round peg in a square hole compared to the plastic fitting, o-ring and retaining clip from the factory. It's a delicate piece that requires too much force to make work with the grommet and is at an angle that places it precariously close to the coil pack. I'm still giving it 5 stars because the sensor has not worked it's way out of the grommet yet and you can not beat the performance you get for the money or overall labor investment.

Love it. Fits perfect and easy to install. This is my second one, both for 5.7 liter dodge engines; first was 2014 Grand Cherokee and this one was for a 2017 Durango.

Vehicle: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 V8. I am not a speed junkie but mostly looking for increased MPG from my 5.7 V8. As a normal commuter, I was a bit concerned about making the noise level too loud but this K&N system works perfectly - the increased noise level is not noticeable at normal driving speeds. Anything under 3k rpm it is still quiet. After 3k rpm is when it gets louder but even I have to admit: romping on it for a freeway onramp or passing is super fun to hear the Hemi come alive and 'growl' and you DEFINATELY feel the extra horsepower gains. I have about 1500 miles on it and, based on the same driving conditions, I am seeing about 1.5-2 MPG more - I plan on keeping my Jeep for a long time and this will pay for itself within just a few months. Install was super easy and the fit was perfect. I looked at other competitive intakes but their claims of HP gains were off of an entirely different vehicle. I liked the fact that K&N had very specific and detailed info for MY exact car. Looks great, sounds great, improves MPG, improves HP...go with the K&N.

I purchased this intake for my 2015 Durango R/T. Definitely satisfied with the product. I notice the increase in horsepower ...and gave it a more aggressive sound and louder. Great product and I definitely recommend it to the next person who is thinking of purchasing one.

63-1563 not only gives my vehicle the extra push i was looking for when modifying my vehicle, it gives it that aggressive roar like sound and a better look under the hood. Also had an intake on my previous vehicle and will definitely purchase a next one if and when i get a next vehicle. Addicted to K&N intakes.

A must have!!! I love all the products from K&N but this is my first one that I was blown away from. I have a 2014 Dodge Durango R/T with the 5.7 L V-8. I love the extra boost, acceleration noise, and fuel savings. The fuel savings is minimal but is available to see a difference. The extra boost in acceleration is GREAT and you can really feel and hear it. The shifts sound better and feel better.

Bought this for my wife's 2011 Durango with the 5.7 Hemi. She loves it, gave her better fuel mileage, better pedal response and of course better sound when she gets on it!! That Hemi can breathe now. Worth ever dime to see my wife's face when we passed a car. This was a surprise gift for her. Install was a breeze. I have installed a few of them on all of my cars. Nice product.

Have used this system on five autos and three motorcycles. Results are always as billed. When I traded cars/motorcycles, I left the systems in place 'cause the new owners believed what I told them...more horsepower and torque and improved gas mileage. On time delivery whether I ordered from K&N or JCWhitney. Install instructions were easy to follow but K&N could use better photos.

Put this on wife's 2014 Durango R/T with the 5.7 Hemi. It has a noticeable power increase on regular around town acceleration. You don't have to use the accelerator as much to get to your normal driving speeds. I think that is where you will receive a MPG gain, if any. The good whoosh sound noise doesn't really come in 'til you dig deeper on the accelerator and then it sounds terrific. Makes my kid laugh in the back seat every time. I wouldn't recommend buying it if you are just looking for MPG gain because it is probably not significant enough to pay for itself. I would recommend buying it for the improved throttle feel and the great sound it makes when you drop the hammer.

I received the Performance Intake Kit for Christmas (This is the only thing I asked for from my wife) and promptly installed it with no problems. Its very easy to install, I think it only took me 30 minutes from opening the box to clean up. I installed it on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.7L Hemi. The sound is almost the same as stock under 3000 RPM, so cruising speed and normal acceleration is not noticeable. Once over 3500 RPM however, the roar is very satisfying. It sounds like a muscle car and not a SUV. I've done some freeway driving since installing it and have noticed a slight increase in mpg but it's offset by the fun I'm having listening to the engine while accelerating (I even turn off the radio when getting onto the freeway on-ramp). Best Christmas present ever!

I received the cold air kit for my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit well within a reasonable amount of time. Although it appeared to be easily installed by a novice I elected to have it installed by my dealer just to insure that it was installed properly. It has the appearance of a factory installed product and I am very delighted with my K&N cold air intake. I can not tell if it has made any difference in my horsepower or gas mileage, but sometimes it's the sound and appearance that counts.

After the ease of installation on my 2012 Jeep and the immediate performance gained I ordered another one (63-1563 air intake) for my 2003 Avalanche. I love this product and though I put a new K&N air filter on everything I buy, I should have converted to the complete system sooner!

I have never bought into too many aftermarket products, but I have to say the K&N intake I just put on my 2012 Durango Citadel Hemi is AWESOME! I was skeptical about buying it due to the noise concern as I am a professional that frequently has clients riding along with me. The intake doesn't make any louder sound than the factory intake until you get on the throttle. Once you do, it is noticeable and in my opinion sounds great! I immediately felt the HP increase on 3/4 throttle at about 4400 RPM's, it was that noticeable! I don't have much to say about the fuel economy but maybe a mile or two per gallon, unfortunately what you gain in fuel economy is easily wasted in the fun you will have listening to the intake and showing off the 17HP and Torque gain!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Installation was pretty easy and instructions were very detailed. I'm just a white collar weekend warrior and I had it installed in about 35 minutes taking my time to do it right.

Great Job K&N
