The K&N 57-2576 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Ford Super Duty pickups. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Ford’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-2576 air intake comes with a K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor, filter minder and crank case vent hose. The oversized conical air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, a ratchet set and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

I purchased a K&N 57-2576 Cold Air Intake for my 2008 F350 Superduty 6.4L truck. I found one problem that made it difficult to complete the install per the instructions. When mounting the air intake tube to the shield bracket it was nearly impossible to reach the bolt holes on the underside of the tube at the bracket. After a two hour attempt, I decided to cut the head off of a longer SS bolt and seat it into the screw holes with locktite, then attach SS locknuts to the bolt when in place instead. This modification took only 30 minutes to mount and complete the install. Instead of a nut used for mounting, the tube should come with SS threaded studs. Other than that the installation went well and the performance increase (with an increase in turbo whine) is as advertised.

Easy to install, truck sounds amazing and the instant power gain was great. Highly recommend installing anything K&N on any vehicle you own.
