The K&N 57-1542 FIPK air intake system replaces your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-1542 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, a ratchet set and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Great product. Noticed the throttle response and exhaust note change instantly. Took a little longer than 90 minutes but that’s only because I’m meticulous. Great product.

Installing this was kinda easy but couldn't get the air temperature sensor all the way in (ill still keep trying until I get it in), and the bracket that holds the tube in the middle didn't want to secure around the tube itself (it was at a angle, and the hose clamp wouldn't help it) so I just left it off. The heat shield trim needed to be trimmed so that there would be room for the mounting rack. My intake tube can move up and down a tiny bit if you apply pressure because of the bracket in the middle not being there, but everything else went on perfect Sounds better Has some better get UP and GO There was no tune required (It took 2 people to install) I have a 2009 R/T Challenger
