Toward the end of the race, the Lola-Zytek B05/40 and two Zytek 075 prototypes filled the top three places in class only. The Zytek powered Binnie Motorsports Lola of Bill Binnie, Allen Timpany and Chris Buncombe was the only car it the LMP2 class to have an almost trouble free run.

Two of the drivers from Zytek Motorsport were rookies at Le Mans, but the solid one-two finish put them on the podium. “I would like to thank K&N Engineering for helping Zytek achieve a one-two finish at Le Mans,” said John Manchester, Operations Director of Zytek Engineering Limited. “This year’s result is a remarkable achievement and is our best ever, but without the excellent service and quality products we receive from K&N It would not have been possible.”
