Schatz passed leader Paul McMahan with only three laps to go in his No. 15 ParkerStore with K&N Engineering Products to win his seventh feature event of 2007.

“What a great job by all my guys on this ParkerStore team,” said Schatz. “The J&J car was unbelievably good. We found the racetrack up top early on, but had a yellow slow us down a little. Paul set a good pace and I knew after the red flag he was going to be tough to beat. He took my line away, so I just had to figure out another away around him. We got to traffic and made it work.”

This was a sweet victory for the defending World of Outlaws champion. “I’ve wanted to win here again for quite some time after winning back in 2000,” said Schatz. “We are fortunate to work with such great product sponsors and without them we wouldn’t be here. The folks at K&N Engineering build a Carbon Airbox that is second to none. When you are racing, you have to be totally confident with every one of your components.”

Schatz also finished a demanding seven-race eastern swing in New York on Monday night with a third place finish at Rolling Wheels Raceway. He continues to lead the series in points.

He returns to action on Friday night at Sharon Speedway in northeast Ohio.
