Round Five of the SCCA Pro Racing SIRIUS Satellite Radio Mazda MX-5 Cup pushed 19-year-old Andrew Caddell up to third place in the chase for series points. The Graham, Washington native had two podium finishes and his first professional pole position at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland, Ohio.

At lap 10 there was a three-way battle for the win between Caddell, Jason Saini and Ara Malkhassian. The three racers went back and forth a few times, and no one seemed to have a distinct advantage around the track.

Caddell was passed and began to fall back, but returned to the fight as the battle between Saini and Malkhassian heated up. Caddell did his best, but crossed the finish line in third place.

Caddell has been racing for ten years. He started with karts and has always used K&N Engineering products. “I don’t remember racing without K&N,” said Caddell. “K&N Air and Oil Filters give me a competitive edge.”

The next event is in Canada on August 18 at Trois-Rivieres, Quebec.
