Oshkosh and Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Races Give Bill Balog 2nd IRA Title

Bill Balog is a champion racer. The sprint car driver took 6th place in an Interstate Racing Association race at the Oshkosh Speedzone in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The next night he drove from 12th place to 1st place for the win in the Dick Witt Checkered Classic at Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Balog also made enough series points to clinch his second IRA title.

The weekend began at the Oshkosh Speedzone where Balog was last out to qualify. He turned the 2nd fastest time of the night out of 31 cars with a lap time of 12.328 seconds. For the heat race, he started in 6th place and crossed the finish line in 4th place after 10 laps. In the main, Balog brought home a solid finish.

On Saturday, Balog and the B Squared Motorsports 17B Team was in action at the Dodge County Fairgrounds for the Dick Witt Checkered Classic. Balog started 12th in the 25 lap event, but quickly moved up. Balog took the lead on lap 12 and opened up his 410 sprint car with K&N air and oil filters. Balog clinched the win.

Balog’s next race will take place at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
