K&N Releases Induction System for the Twingo Renaultsport 133
- Jul 17, 2009
French Automaker Renault first introduced the Twingo (a blend of "Twist", "Swing" and "Tango”) in the early 1990's to the continental European market. The second generation Twingo debuted in 2007 to a widened market eagerly awaiting an all-new car. Not wanting to disappoint, Renault's iconic Renaultsport motorsports division took the modest Twingo and worked their magic. The result is the Twingo Renaultsport 133; a serious threat in the Hot Hatch market segment. Sporty looks, heightened style and performance all come standard on the 133.
K&N's 57A-6045 Apollo Air Induction System for the 2008-2009 Renault Twingo Renaultsport 1.6L L4
K&N part number 57A-6045 Induction System for the 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Renault Twingo with a 1.6 liter engine utilizes the Apollo, a protective shell which houses a K&N high-flow, washable and reusable lifetime air filter in one unit. This provides the benefits of an open cone filter and standard airbox into one element. The 57A-6045 is designed with attachments that are vehicle specific and allow outside air to enter the induction system. K&N rolling road tests showed positive power gains.
K&N Induction Systems are designed to free vehicles from the restriction of the original factory air box. This allows a virtually unrestricted flow of air to reach the engine for more power and performance when you need it. With a K&N Air Induction System, consumers can count on extra horsepower whether maneuvering amongst city traffic, or winding through the countryside.
Inside the Apollo Air Induction System is a conical shaped high-flow air filter (RC-5052). K&N air filters capture harmful particles, flow air freely, and have a long service life. 57A-6045 takes about 90 minutes or less to install and is covered by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty®.
For increased protection and style, K&N offers Drycharger® filter wrap number RC-5052DK that can be used in conjunction with 57A-6045. Drychargers® are made from a durable polyester material containing uniform micron openings which will stop small dirt particles and repel water; yet add little restriction to the airflow of the filter.
