K&N® Named Official Sponsorship Partner of the 2019 MotoAmerica Series

MotoAmerica has announced that K&N® Filters is now an official sponsorship partner of the 2019 MotoAmerica Series.

K&N® has been developing premium products for race bikes for over fifty years. “We are proud to continue our partnership with MotoAmerica in 2019, and to highlight our support of road racing in the United States,” commented Nick O’Kane, K&N® Powersports Manager. “We work closely with MotoAmerica teams and riders, who have proven to be invaluable in helping develop and ensure the performance of K&N motorcycle products. The American Motorcyclist Association has once again approved K&N air and oil filters to be used on race tracks, and K&N looks forward to the continued growth of America’s premier motorcycle road racing championship in 2019 with a dynamic field of talented riders.”

The MotoAmerica Series features the Superbike Championship—one of the uppermost echelons of road racing—as its headline class. As one of the leading manufacturers of motorsports performance parts, K&N® is excited to once again be supporting one of the most demanding racing series in the world.

K&N® was born out of the powersports racing community. In the 1960s, two motorcycle racers—Ken Johnson and Norm McDonald, “K&N”—began developing the design for a brand-new oiled air filter, which is still K&N’s best-selling product. The pair found that the demands of racing on the dusty, silty tracks of the California desert required a durable high efficiency, high airflow filter that could be easily washed and reused. To this day, motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide turn to K&N for the best washable air filter on the market.

“The K&N Filters partnership is a good fit for MotoAmerica,” said MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey. “K&N air filters are designed to increase the performance of race bikes. We look forward to working closely with K&N Filters in the coming season.”

The ten-round series commences on April 5, 2019, at Michelin Raceway in Atlanta, Georgia, and will conclude on September 22, 2019, at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama. Fans can find tickets to each of the events on MotoAmerica’s website.
