K&N Engineering has designed a 57-Series Performance Air Intake Kit (57-1554) with a black molded polyethylene intake tube for the 2008 Dodge Nitro 3.7 liter V6 engine. The 2007 Dodge Nitro with the 3.7 liter engine uses K&N's 57-1554 performance intake system. K&N dynamometer test shows an estimated gain of 11.7 horsepower @ 4270 RPM with these air intakes.

To get a performance increase K&N replaces the Nitro's original intake assembly, including the airbox, air filter and intake tube with an all new K&N Air Intake design. The new system draws air through a K&N High-Flow Air Filter (RF-1041) that increases air flow and filtering capacity and never needs to be replaced.

Protecting the chrome top cone shaped K&N Air Filter, and isolating it from engine heat, is a powder coated steel heat shield that replaces the stock airbox.

The 57-1554 and 57-1554 can be installed in 90 minutes or less and is backed by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
