Before, I thought you had to clean and oil the filter ever few hours like I had to on my Beta 4t Trials bike. Your rep said it would not require service for 30000 miles. I know Triumph air filters seem to stay pretty clean and the paper filters from the factory are still clean even after 5000 miles, but 30K miles? Hope he was right. The low restriction filter matches my airbox mods and computer perfectly.

Hellishly expensive, but K & N has been hellishly expensive for the 30 years I've been using them. I put two of these RU-1100s onto the mikunis carbs on my fairly heavily-modified 72 triumph bonneville street bike, after measuring the clearances, top to bottom, side to side, and front to back. The filters fit just like I planned, and work just like I intended. T the significant thing that makes K & N worthwhile, aside from the quality of the filters themselves, is the extensive size information available online. I'm used to having to guess how big things are based on vague descriptions, and then sending them back for a second try, or a third, or giving up. The very complete and specific information on the K & N website allowed me to work out exactly what I needed from fifteen or twenty alternative lengths, widths, and inside and outside diameters, and the filters fit perfectly, with exactly the clearances I planned. I i also use four K & N filters on my 74 triumph trident, three on the 26mm mikuni carburetors and another on the crankcase breather. I i'm running 35mm keihin FCR carbs on my 1965 triumph land speed race bike, and if I could figure out how to put filters over the FCR open velocity stacks, I'd use them there. No application for those carbs, unfortunately. if you come up with one I'll use them.
