I have been using K&N filters for decades and I always have purchased 2 for every application from my cars down to chain saws and lawn mowers, to be able to have a clean one at change time. I was looking at other options because the cleaning and oiling process was so time consuming for my 3500HD Chevy truck. When I contacted K&N and spoke to them about the new media filter that needs no oil and can be just cleaned and dried without the old process that literally took days to clean, dry and oil, and I ordered it. Amazing is all I can say. Noticeable increase of air flow over the old oiled K&N. So now my question is what to do with the old oiled K&N filters because I will start replacing them on everything when service is due on them.

Always a good idea to have an extra filter to put in, especially if you trash one off road and have to clean it - this allows you to keep driving without having to wait forever for the dirty filter to dry out after you clean it. No required oiling is also a plus.

Great product.   Works well with 6 outer diameter velocity stacks.   Great CFM and flow for high compression or turbo application.
