K&N Pro Series Oil Filters have been specially designed for professional installers and service providers. Their high flow design can help to improve engine performance by reducing oil filter restriction. Our Pro Series Oil Filters have a fluted canister shape so they can be removed with a traditional oil filter wrench commonly available to commercial installers. These Pro Series oil filters provide outstanding filtration and engine protection throughout their service life. They are engineered to handle all grades of synthetic, conventional and blended motor oils. The pleated media provides high capacity making them suitable for extended oil change intervals when used in accordance with the vehicle and motor oil manufacturers recommendation.  Have not tried the K&N oil filter yet. Have been letting a service facility do my stuff lately as it has been difficult for me to do it. But I am due for a service and will be doing the oil/filter, air filter (maybe even a cold air unit), spark plugs, etc.Gotta save some $$$ and this is one thing I have the abilities to do. Hard to have someone else do your repairs when you know how but when you don't have a place to work on your vehicles it just make the job harder. Use to be the day when no one but me did my service/repairs.

K&N oil filters are a slight premium in price to some of its competitors yet outperforms with its excellent performance. I started to use K&N filters and synthetic oil when I flipped 150,000 miles on my 2004 Chevy Impala after noticing the engine seemed sluggish when accelerating on the interstate. When I asked my local auto parts store for their recommendations, they indicated that the cheap oil filters coupled with traditional oil could cause a loss in horsepower and lower MPG after only 3,000 miles. One of the best decisions for my car was switching to K&N oil filters and synthetic oil since I now have 220,000 miles! The engine continues to run smooth while maintaining its factory MPG.
