The K&N Replacement filter is an easy job to do and comes with a new gasket to make sure it gets a tight fit to the breather housing. It is also pre-lubed with the correct amount of filter oil but I still bought the kit to clean and re-lube it when the time comes. Not sure on the mileage between cleanings yet or the gas mileage, still need to run a few tanks of gas out but so far the bike does seem to run better. No modifications needed when replacing the stock filter with the K&N.
