K&N E-1993 Air Filter Product Reviews

Great air filter. Fits perfectly in the air box of the Shelby but the joint in the mesh, which is silver coloured, is on the top side. It would be much better if it was on the underside and you cannot rotate this filter to hide it because it has a built in support tab that has to be at the bottom. If you make the joint so that it lines up with the support tab then it would be hidden underneath.

A great product at a fair price. Who could ask for anything more? I would certainly use K&N products on ALL of my vehicles.

It appears to have a little better response than the [brand name] filter, too early to tell.

I like the filter but haven't had it long enough to really tell any difference. I also had other major engine work done at the time. I bought this based on K&N's reputation. I could not find the aFe replacement for my intake system. I bought this one based on size and shape and fit as close as I could to my original. My only complaint would be that I wish the filter had a tough or lip where you connect it to keep the connector from slipping off the filter when tightening. With the oils on the filter and the fact that the K&N was slightly bigger than what I actually needed I had to tighten it pretty tight to make up the size and the connector kept slipping off the filter. I had to put a little tape around the outside of the intake to try and take up a little space. When I finally got it tightened down it seems to fit well and work as needed.
