I have never used K&N before but had always heard good reports about the products. I just installed an oil filter on my Ford Tractor. The K&N filter was smaller and heavier than the one I replaced. The K&N just feels better made. I also like the nut on the end of the filter. The nut sure came in handy in the close tolerance area of my tractor. I will buy this product again and will also look at other products for my classic 1972 Mustang!

I somewhat recently bought a K&N cold air intake for a late 1987 to 1988 FORD Bronco 5.0L EFI V8 Without a Mass Air Unit and I must say I am very happy with what I have got out of it. I bought this unit for my 1987 Ford Bronco XLT because I was not quite happy with the amount of power it had. I am quite pleased with the amount of power this has added to my vehicle it has power you can really feel! Before this my truck was really quite sluggish at the start and not to reactive to one’s foot when they would step on the gas. This is due to the fact that the late 1987 broncos had the first ever EFI (electronic fuel injection) motor that ford ever made – there was bound to be bugs. One really had to put their foot in the car to get it going, which really ate up gas mileage, and the car only had just under 200hp as well. This may sound like a lot coming from a decently big V8 such as the 5.0L under the hood, but when you take into consideration that it was an early EFI motor as well as the fact that it is trying to move a 4600 pound truck it really doesn’t add up to all that much. After the installation of this product my cars horse power jumped up by about 10hp 3696rpms, and had a much quicker reaction time whenever I put my foot on the gas. There were down sides to this product however, I did have to do quite a bit of shopping around and to find this product that matched my cars specifications down to the last inch. There are other companies such as [brand] who make [brand] or [brand], but they lack the power as well as improved fuel millage boost that only a K&N intake can provide. The reason they are the best in show is because not many people make a part such as this for such an old car but K&N is the best in the business when it comes to variety of makes and models, power as well as boosted miles per gallon. My filter is at Sixty-seven thousand miles and I can easily get another twenty-three thousand before I need to clean it. My Truck is running better than it ever has before and running longer per tank of gas, which as a college student is great news because that means fewer trips to the pump! I am very satisfied with the product even if it did cost close to 250 dollars which with a part time job hit hard. I highly recommend that you buy this product in the very near future instead of any other brand. Why pay for something that isn’t the best for your vehicle?
