The K&N 77-3043KP high-flow performance air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing on your vehicle are replaced by this K&N air intake system which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. The improved air flow allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than it would from the stock air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout your engine’s RPM range. The 77-3043KP air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive chrome-like finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor and a replacement silicone fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, ratchet set and some wrenches. Some K&N 77 series air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

I just recently bought a 2005 GMC Canyon with a 3.5L I5. I had never even heard of a In Line 5 Cyl. engine before so I was not sure what to expect. Well to my suprise I was shocked at the performance of it. I went right out and bought a K&N filter yesterday and after installing it in the truck yesterday afternoon, WOW!!! This has made a HUGE difference! I can't wait to see what my gas mileage will do since my HP has increased ALOT. All I have to say is THANKS K&N for opening my eyes to the great world of accelaration! I will be buying one for my wifes car as well. GREAT JOB!

I just installed an 63 Series Aircharger Kit on my GMC Canyon, and its great. The sound is something else, and the midrange power is right there. The best thing is, there is a sweet spot in the gas peddle, and once you hit it, you can really hear and feel the difference.

You just got a customer for life.

Thanks

I just bought a new 2014 GMC Terrain and I did what I've done with the last eight new vehicles I've purchased I replaced the original factory air filter with a K&N filter. In every case, I've seen an improvement in fuel economy and an increase in horsepower. What's not to like about that?!
