K&N's 77-2579KTK High-Flow Performance Air Intake was designed especially for Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Pickup Truck models. This air intake was built for performance and show utilizing the highest quality components including a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube with a textured black finish. K&N intake systems replace your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. The filter on this air intake is washable and reusable. This air intake is relatively easy to install requiring a socket set, wrenches, a screw driver and a T20 Torx driver. Some 77 Series Air Intakes are not legal for use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. See information below for specific CARB status.

Excellent upgrade. Good quality and so easy to fit with just the limited tools I had on hand. Probably took me 90 mins in total. I bought a K&N air filter for my very first car in 1980 and I would recommend K&N over any other product. On my Raptor it would appear I am now getting better fuel mileage with the K&N performance kit installed. Even though I am accelerating slightly more aggressively. Why? Because I can and it sounds great.

Thank you K&N for the easy step by step directions & your great engineering to make this cold air system a breeze even for a layman to install! Everything went smoothly. It certainly has added some extra ZING to my ZANG! Ed Pensyl

This was installed on my all stock 2012 Raptor SuperCrew. Ordering from K&N was very easy and the item shipped/arrived quickly. Installation was fairly straight forward and simple but a little time consuming for me. Mostly because I'm paranoid and check everything 10 times before proceding, not due to K&N. The only items I wasn't a big fan of were the rubber trim used around the metal housing that I wish K&N would have given more of and the fact that removing the intake plenum removes the support for the heater lines which could rub a hole in a plug wire if not resupported. It would be nice if K&N had a note about this in the instructions but I managed a 2 minute fix, no big deal. I installed the intake with about 40k miles on the truck. There is a noticable volume difference (good difference) in the truck when you get on the throttle, but nothing I would call loud, especially in the land of big diesels. Around town (30 MPH speed limits) or even driving down the highway, there really isn't a noticeable difference in sound. But it really sounds angry when doing 75 MPH across an open field in 4th or 5th. Also, when getting on the throttle hard, you can feel feedback in the pedal but not concerning. As far as actual throttle response I do not notice a big difference unless using the select shift fully. There is definitely a power boost around 3500-4500 RPM. My experiences may differ because I live at 4800' elevation. I'm sure at sea level there is a much bigger change. I have about 10k miles with the intake now, around 50k total mileage. No issues and still very happy with the purchase. I'm also seeing about 1 MPG gain in fuel economy (14 MPG to 15 MPG) which if you have a Raptor you shouldn't really care about anyways. We didn't get these things because we're concerned about the environment, right? Overall, very happy with the K&N intake and would recommend for anyone.
